The Late Arrival 

Last night, I invited my friends for dinner, but everything went wrong. When they arrived, I realized that I had forgotten to turn on the oven. Had I prepared the salad? Yes, I had, but the main course was still raw. I had already set the table, but the guests were hungry. Luckily, my best friend had brought some appetizers, so we didn't starve. I had not checked the recipe carefully enough, so the dinner was a disaster. By the time we finished eating, I had learned an important lesson: always check the oven and the recipe!

The World Traveler

My friend, Sarah, has visited twenty countries so far. She has seen the pyramids in Egypt and she has climbed mountains in Japan. Has she ever been to Australia? No, she has not. She has always wanted to go there, but she has not had the chance yet. I have known Sarah for ten years, and she has never stopped dreaming about new adventures. She has already started planning her next trip to Iceland. We have shared many travel stories lately, but she has definitely lived the most exciting life.

The Big Party 

Tomorrow is my birthday, and I have a lot of work to do. But don't worry, by 6 PM, I will have finished everything. I will have cleaned the whole house and I will have decorated the living room. Will I have baked the cake by then? Yes, I will, it will have been in the oven for an hour by the time you arrive.

I will not have bought the drinks yet, but my brother will have picked them up from the shop. By the time the first guest knocks on the door, we will have prepared all the snacks. I am sure that by midnight, we will have had a fantastic time together!
